Board of Trustees
The NC IUL Board of Trustees is the University’s governing body, responsible for the approval of the mission and strategic vision of the University; ensuring that control and accountability systems, plans and approved KPIs for all matters are in place and monitored; including risk assessment and conflict of interest procedures; the appointment of the Provost jointly with the Executive Board.
The Board of Trustees is formed by independent eminent community members and stakeholders known for achievements and integrity. The Academic Senate and the Student Council will also elect one member each to the Board of Trustees. The Provost and Associate Provost are invited members of the Board of Trustees.
The Board of Trustees shall appoint a Chair who shall be an independent member of the Board of Trustees.
The Board of Trustees will have quarterly meetings, unless required by special circumstances.
